It is the story of Virginia insurance investigator 'Jane' Baker, who has been searching for a long-stolen Rembrandt painting. Within a short time, this woman began to suspect that the robber Robert 'Mac' McDougall was responsible for the theft. She was sent to arrest this man, but he proved to be the most elusive and possibly the most dangerous man in that woman's life.
