The story tells of a woman named Margaret who is always a woman who controls her life with her teenage son Markus. Over time, her teenage son Marcus has to endure his grief and become a man in the absence of his father. Perhaps Marcus and his mother may go into the deep forest to get out of this world, where Marcus sits in an unknown area to search for life again.
Leonard and his co-writer Rebecca Lowman deserve credit for delivering a straightforward and quietly affecting picture, intelligent and mature in its delineation of character and the unpredictable development of its narrative.
