This story is about a fact that happened in 1986, when Ron Woodruff is fighting a real war with AIDS. Ron seems frustrated by his lack of support but does not want to die. Now, Ron uses more medicine, even stock, and poor quality where he unintentionally discovered treatment for people with the dangerous virus.
We shouldn't forget this is McConaughey's world. He remains a magnetic presence, his soft-spoken Southern drawl and slithery charm keeping you from fully despising this guy Woodroof.
