Driving by her deep will of save the day, Elizabeth, a young but famous journalist, who claims to be a good cooker and a housewife, but in fact, she isn't, does her best to make things well, when her boss and another man invite themselves to join her in her house during Christmas.
If this mildly amusing screwball comedy about mistaken identity has a conservative slant of glorifying housewives it's due to the zeitgeist: It was made in 1945, at the end of WWII, when men were coming home and women sent back to the kitchen.
