The film is about Ben Bennett, a wealthy but arrogant lawyer. Over time, this lawyer tries to insult Lee Darcy, a separate factory worker accidentally accused of ill-treatment. Someday, they both seem to form instant hatred for each other, which becomes a bad and mysterious path in their lives together.
The germ of a great idea -- a gay "Pride & Prejudice" set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Va. -- it just lacks the wit, warmth and light touch to come off.
There are moments of brilliance spotted with occasional gaps in quality that keep the film abundantly charming yet inescapably trapped in the 'Lifetime original movie' zone.
