The film presents the experience of Frank Pierce, who begins in a different direction, in which Frank appears to lead a normal life. Meanwhile, a troublesome past reappears in front of Frank as he takes something precious from him and relieves his mask of sanity over time.
With strong performances and some solid direction, Bad Frank is enjoyable and compelling through its first half but starts to fall apart in the final act.
