Upon taking the role of the wife of Macbeth in the school, Fay, a young smart high school girl, who suffers from having terrible in her family, struggles against facing the jealous of Monica, her schoolmate.
Turner is solid, if perhaps miscast, with beguiling screen presence and the strength to (mostly) avoid succumbing to the teeth-gnashing melodrama of her character's situation.
plays out all the expected tropes of a doppelgänger film in a dreamy haze, while leaving it for the viewer to decide whether this divided self is a real spectre dogging Fay, or a mere metaphor for her anxieties about coming of age.
