The couple decided to go to a strange theater to spend their night as usual every time. Things may be quite different, as the promenade turns into horror through the emergence of a series of exotic stories about Christmas. In that walk, everything seems to be absolutely terrifying, with the strange theater featuring a wide range of characters, doing their best to avoid the horrific Christmas horrors.
The film works by taking classic complaints around the holidays and accentuating their effects to hyperbolic effect. The dark humor... makes it a welcome antidote to all the saccharine-sweet Christmas movies we're inundated with every year.
Thanks to its inventive ideas, effective execution and willingness to be original, this film is bound to be another Christmas classic for every horror fan to enjoy.
Only 1 of the 5 shorts truly delights, but it's still the second best Christmas horror anthology film ever made. (Yes, there are only two, but let's think positive people!)
