Grace Garland is a captain of US veterans. Gareth returns after many rounds of rescue in Afghanistan and begins her life after separating from her beloved partner K9, trying to rediscover the magic of Christmas. Grace finds herself in River Crossing two weeks before Christmas, and local judge Joe Peterson tries to give Gareth a place to stay. Joe Peterson may help her make everything missing for her, and maybe love and family.
