She is also handy when it comes to fixing or rejiggering electrical and electronic gadgets. She has an intuitive understanding of many of the artifacts in the Warehouse. Although she had a complicated upbringing and did not attend college Claudia is very well-educated and has invented several gadgets for the Warehouse.Claudias parents died when she was very young and she was raised mostly in foster care after being separated from her equally brilliant brother Joshua, who disappeared without explanation. Because of this traumatic abandonment, Claudia can have something of a chip on her shoulder, veering between cocky and vulnerable. She can also be very upbeat and snarky. She has a playfully contentious relationship with her boss and father figure Artie Nielsen.
