Being the first son by his mother, most beloved by Jacob, Joseph became his father's favorite son and a bit spoiled. He had two dreams about becoming more powerful than his brothers and parents, and also got a very beautiful robe. Except for Benjamin, the other ten brothers were irritated by the fact that their fahter loved Joseph more. They showed it by first throwing him into a well and then selling into slavery in Egypt. However, he became his family's savior through this.
