Alex Whitman was the best friend and the kindest boy that Liz and Maria had around them long before getting in touch with the aliens.He was a smart young man,very romantic and devoted to his friends and later on to Isabel Evans who actually was not able to fall in love with him immediately.The season 2 is a very sad and a bit depressive season because of Alex's death.When we began to get to know him better,Hanks left the show but still,the whole mistery involved in the process of his death that at first seems to be just a suicide kept us excited enough to pay attention to the rest of the episodes in order to find out the reason why he had such a tragic destiny.
