Stephen Andrews, known locally as Steve Andrews - WGON-TV's traffic news helicopter pilot - is also nicknamed Flyboy. When the undead plague reaches crisis level, he takes it upon himself to take WGON's helicopter and escort his girlfriend Fran and best friend Roger to safety, since the rest of Philadelphia is leaving the city in a mad dash for survival. But with the addition of the tall and threatening stranger, Peter, Stephen, is not sure who he's most afraid of; the walking dead or the unpredictable SWAT member Peter.
