Rain Ocampo (played by Michelle Rodriguez) is introduced in the first Resident Evil film, in which she works for the Umbrella Corporation special forces commando unit. During the outbreak in The Hive she and the other operatives were sent down to shut the Red Queen down and to contain the infection.
