Brent Norton is the neighbor of David Drayton and accompanies him to the store when the mist comes. After the death of Norm the bag boy, David attempts to convince Brent to help him but Brent rebukes this as a lie and refuses. Later in the film, he leads a small band of followers in the mist and a biker ties some clothesline around his waist to retrieve a shotgun from one man's car but this fails as the biker's severed lowered half is dragged back to the store. Norton's fate is unclear, but its more than likely he did not survive.
