Maddie Hayward is a wealthy businesswoman who seeks out Alicia Florrick as a way to better understand Alicia's husband, Peter, before she donates to his campaign. Maddie genuinely likes and respects Alicia, but turns out not to be trustworthy and becomes more of a rival to Peter than anyone could have imagined.
