Jackie is the son of the late mob boss. Though the people around him see a lot of potential in him and his father even wanted him to become a doctor, he prefers sticking with the family business and the culture involved instead of focusing with his pre-med studies, despite all efforts of his mother and Tony to shift his focus back to school.
