Mushroom was a cute and cuddly canine thespian who appeared in two classic 80s horror features: he portrayed Barney in Joe Dante's 1984 blockbuster smash "Gremlins" (Dante on the DVD commentary for "Gremlins" praises Mushroom as one of the best actors in the cast!) and Gypsy in Stan Winston's supremely spooky "Pumpkinhead." Although he only did a pair of pictures in his regrettably fleeting career, Mushroom nonetheless remains a much beloved favorite animal actor amongst 80s fright film aficionados. Show less «
