A native of New Orleans, Debby Gaudet began entertaining at the young age of five. She studied classical voice privately for fourteen years under Charles Paddock, one of the most highly respected professors from Loyola University. She performed solos, singing in Latin,French and English. In her late teens, her love of alternative music led her in a new direction. She became the lead singer in a rock band and for almost a decade played consistently in New Orleans and throughout the region. When Debby wasn't working, she spent much of her time traveling. From Europe to the South Pacific, Central America and across the United States, her experiences opened her mind and heart in a profound way. She developed a deep love and appreciation for people of different cultures. During her travels, she witnessed the strife in Nicaragua and the breakout of the Bosnian war. She saw its effect on the children. This experience triggered her efforts in helping refugees who fled to the U.S. to begin a new life. Soon after, she began working locally with the Adopt A Family program, helping homeless families with children rebuild their lives. A film lover all her life, Debby grew up watching the classics. With Hollywood filmmakers moving into Louisiana, she quickly jumped in on the action to learn as much as she could behind the scenes. She devoutly pursued instruction, studying the techniques of Stanislavski, Meisner, Morris and Chubbuck. She attended seminars and workshops at every opportunity. Exhausting all means in Louisiana, she headed for Los Angeles where she studied under top instructors such as John Kirby, Michael Testa and Margie Habor. After several years in TV and film, Debby became a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG/AFTRA). Her work on set expanded beyond that of "Actor" and she added to her credits, titles such as Dialogue Coach, Casting Coordinator and Co-Producer. Debby now has her own full-service TV and film acting studio in Louisiana which offers classroom instruction, private lessons and professional taping services. Show less «
