Bill Lunn

He began his broadcasting career as a reporter, then anchor, for television station in Duluth, MN before trading the frozen tundra for Memphis where he was the morning news anchor at WMC-TV, and the evening news anchor at WPTY-TV. He has covered news at the White House, including the 1998 impeachment of President Bill Clinton. He later covered the crash site of Northwest Airlines flight 5719 in Hibbing, MN, live in 1993. He also loves to cover stories about the outdoors. Bill has multiple Emmy nominations. He also received a Minnesota Associated Press award for a story about wild rice harvesting with Ojibwe Indians. He was also honored in the fall of 2008 when he emceed the National Civil Rights Museums's Freedom Awards. Bill attended St. Mary's University in Winona and received a B.A. in English Literature. He received his Masters in Journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Bill has been involved with the March of Dimes for more than a decade, has served on their board of directors and as a media spokesperson. He also enjoys speaking to civic groups and schools about covering news in the Twin Cities and Minnesota. Show less «
