Katalina is an American-born, bilingual actress with Dominican heritage. She grew up in Miami, Florida, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Communications and a minor in psychology from Florida International University. There, she was co-editor for the online magazine "The Miami Desk." She is a published writer whose articles have appeared in the Miami Herald and the former. She has interviewed acclaimed artists Erni Vales and Stephen Gamson, Miami-Dade School board member Raquel Regalado, as well as several Grammy-winning musicians like Emilio Estefan, Tommy Anthony (of the band Santana) and other members of the Miami Sound Machine.
