Rubens Saboia

One of the biggest promises of Brazilian cinema: Rubens Saboia de Castro Filho, February, 1st, 1984.Born and raised in Fortaleza - CE, Brasil, Rubens moved to Lisbon to complete his undergraduate degree in Biology. Uninspired by the lack of creativity and freedom associated with lab work, he decided to pursue an old dream and started to study dramatic arts. Following three years of studying the discipline, he worked professionally in theatre, television, voice-over and cinema.Owing to his late start in the industry, he brings a diverse range of life experiences to his art; he was a recruit in the Brazilian Marines, a volunteer firefighter, a Commercial Diver, as well as a Biologist. He also has experience in teaching and working for a large multinational corporation.Currently, he lives in London, where he is beginning to launch his career within the film industry on the international stage.
