Jo Serekonyane is a South African actor. His passion for acting was evident from a young age when he joined the Mmabana cultural center (Drama unit) back in the early 90s. He later enrolled at the University of Cape Town (UCT) where he studied drama and performing arts.After university, Jo began his career with small cameo parts in sitcoms such as: SOS (Penguin Films), Scoop Schoombie (Penguin Films), Madam and Eve (Penguin Films), Stokvel (Penguin Films), Madam and Eve (Penguin Films). He also worked as a featured lead on a number of TV commercials for brands such as: Vodacom, Old Mutual, Sinutab and Sports Illustrated. Jo has made guest appearances on films such as Leon Schuster's Mama Jack and the Canadian/SA co-produced sci-fi, Charlie Jade.
