As an actor, he most known for his stage productions in and around Los Angeles until he moved to Chicago in 1993 to pursue his degree in stage direction at the Goodman School of Drama (DePaul University) and Columbia College under the guidance of Sheldon Patinkin. He was born in Florida and grew up in a small town there until he was seventeen, when he moved to Huntington Beach, CA. He is of Irish, Bavarian, and Swedish decent. In addition to his BA in Theater he has studied under Diane Shalet (Meisner Method), Greg Itzen (Shakespeare), at the Professional Actors Conservatory, California, and at the South Coast Repertory Theater Conservatory in California. After finishing school, he went on to direct several small equity plays in Chicago. One of which, Black Angel, garnered a nomination for the coveted "Joseph Jefferson Award."
