Michael was born and grew up in New York City, NY. He retired from the New York City Police Department in 2012 with the rank of Police Lieutenant after 20 years of service. Michael is also a U.S Army Combat Veteran, having served 18 years in the U.S Army Reserve. After retiring from the NYPD, Michael eagerly pursued his life long passion and dream of being a professional actor. In 2014, he became a member of SAG-AFTRA after being cast as Abdul Rahman in the independent film, The Last Punch (2016) directed by Jessie Vaughn (Juwanna Mann 2002). Since then Michael has appeared as Paul in the independent film Accommodations (2018) directed by Amy Gross. Most recently he has had a co-star role in the CBS episodic television series East New York (2023) directed by Ramaa Mosley.
