Roy Kurtluyan

Roy Kurtluyan, a cinematographer based in Los Angeles, California has been shooting narrative films and commercials for the last 10 years domestically as well as internationally. Roy's recent director of photography credits include horror films such as Star Party and Night Beast, as well as dramas like Yazi Tura (2004) which received 11 awards at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in October 2004. In addition to his cinematography credits, Roy Kurtluyan also owns New Circuit Films, which produces commercials and corporate videos.Roy Kurtluyan was born in 1971 in Istanbul, Turkey. He lived in Istanbul and Los Angeles intermittently until 1990. While in grade school reading comic books, Roy developed an interest in photography and composition; and at age 19, he headed back to California to study film and television. Roy Kurtluyan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film, Television and Performing Arts from San Diego State University. A passionate man about cinematography, also well known for his thoughtfulness and kindness, Roy Kurtluyan is one of the best liked members in his community.
