Lisa Brave works in films, television and commercials. Film credits include the multiple award winning Speed Dating, Beauty is Skin Deep and Home of The Brave. In the theater she has played leading roles in a wide range of productions. At St. Pete City Theater, she won a Michael Award (2013) and was nominated as Favorite Leading Actress (2014). Lisa grew up in New Jersey and is the daughter of Paul, an investment adviser and Sherron, a homemaker. Her paternal grandmother, Winnie Borne Sherman was a renowned artist and poet. Lisa attended The Ohio State University, beginning as a Theater major, and studying under Joy Reilly and Iona Zelenka. As a Freshman, she was cast in Summer and Smoke, directed by Donald Glancy, the only underclassman among graduate students and professional actors. She also acted in student films at OSU. Lisa ultimately graduated with a BS in Natural Resources, but continued her involvement in theater through OSU Strollers Student Theatrics, and enjoyed a run in the award-winning production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
