Dalton from South Carolina, started acting at age 7 in his local hometown theatre. Dalton wanted to pursue his love for acting in movies, so after a lot of research from his mom she contacted an agent who signed Dalton. Dalton's first movie experience was when he played a zombie extra in One Last Sunset. Dalton has been cast in a couple of UNCSA projects. Dalton got his break when he auditioned and was cast as Hickory John Beiler in Beverly Lewis' The Shunning. After this role, he was cast in a Valvoline commercial with race car driver Carl Edwards.
