He joined the Marine Corps instead in 1992 and stayed for 21 years.After retiring from the service, he opened his own martial arts academy and as of December of 2020, sold the Academy, though he still teaches there on occasion.Owning a business, he found himself doing his own commercials and Public Service Announcements and thought he'd give acting another shot and the results have been great.
