Danielle Dax began her musical career as a member of the English post-punk band, Lemon Kittens; the band went on hiatus in 1982 and Dax embarked on a solo career. Throughout the '80s into the early '90s she released a handful of avant-garde-new wave genre albums. Aside from Dax's musical career, she appeared as the Wolfgirl (a non-speaking role) in Neil Jordan's fantasy-horror film La compagnie des loups (1984).
