Tayyab Shamsi was born in Karachi, Pakistan . His mother's name is Mumtaz Gaya. She was once a premedical student and now resides in Dallas, Texas. His father was an airline executive for Pakistan International Airways for most of his career. In the early 1980's Ty moved to Damascus, Syria, with his father, where he attended preschool to 1st grade. It is here where Ty was involved in many ethnic talent shows and plays where he developed his performing abilities. With a short stance in Syria Ty moved to Texas at the age of 6 where he joined his mother, 3 sisters and brother. Ty was raised in San Antonio Texas all until he graduated at Robert E. Lee High School. Soon after he enrolled in Univ. of Texas Arlington to start a new chapter. In college Ty was extremely social and would find himself driving down to Austin, Texas, performing at parties and talent shows in vocal groups singing cover songs mostly from 1990's pop and r&b artists. Ty pursued a degree in Management Information Systems where he became very technically inclined which let him to San Diego, Ca for the tech dot.com boom. In 2004 Ty moved to L.A to pursue a career in film and Acting while supporting himself through technology.
