The way he played was unique. He'd rarely bend notes, and when he did it was very specific. Listen to masterpieces like Candy Says and Pale Blue Eyes - only Sterling [Sterling Morrison] could have that touch, so gentle. Like a hawk waiting to pounce, there seems this great tension to what he's doing.

When I heard Will [Will Sergeant] play the solo from The Killing Moon, that was a light-bulb moment. His creativity with the kind of atmosphere possible in a song is unbelievable. He should be added to all the lists of the great guitar players, he's influenced so many, but his influence is never acknowledged.
