His father, Devin Bush Sr., played at Florida State and won Super Bowl XXXIV with the St. Louis Rams. Devin's sister, Deja, plays softball at Florida State. Devin and fellow Wolverines Devin Gil and Josh Metellus were high school teammates. He is enrolled in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts. As a freshman, Devin played in all 13 games on special teams and played in seven games at linebacker. He had a total of 328 tackles in high school.
