Sadly, many people don't have your best interests at heart. Tune out the noise and the opinions (we all know what they say about those), and stay your course. But I think that if you do it for the love of the art of what you do, if you feel like there's nothing else you can do, if there's nothing you want to do more than what it is that you're doing, the success follows the perseverance. [on her Legally Blonde: The Musical (2007) character, Paulette] I kind of feel like if some of our bigger pop stars had never made it and just wound up as downtrodden crazy eccentrics who once had a really promising future - that's kind of where I found Paulette. I felt like she was someone who had a lot of promise and was really funky and maybe wanted to be in the music business or was a hot groupie or something like that and she just fell on hard times with the wrong guy and everything went south from there.
