Marco Pantani

Marco Pantani was one of the most important cyclist of the last ten year, he was the only one, with other five cyclists, to win in the same year, 1998, Il giro d'Italia and the tour the France. His career was studded by many accidents and unlucky races and with many doping problems, while he was winning the Giro in 1999 he was expelled from the race after the failure of anti-doping test. But he was very beloved by the people and cycling fans expecially when he won mountain races. After a stay in a clinic because he suffered from a depression syndrome, he was found dead in a little residence in Rimini, probably from abuse of anti-depressive medicine. Show less «
