Wendi De Barros

With a few co-starring roles under her belt this year (This Is Us & Baskets), and her new found love of improv - this funny, sweet, relatable, plus-size gal is exhilarated to be back in the biz!! Wendi De Barros shot right out of the birth canal and into the world of the theatre. Her parents, Phil (aka Fernando) and La Donna de Barros met at a local playhouse in Huntington Beach, CA. While her late, actor-director, father, Phil de Barros (I am the Law, Its' Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Desperate Housewives) was playing, "Starbuck" in the Rainmaker. As if that weren't enough of the acting bug coursing through her veins, she's the granddaughter of the actress, Barbara Leonard of 20's and 30's fame. In a previous life (aka her lengthy hiatus) she worked as the Media Center Operator at KABCTV. Wendi directed and acted in Shakespeare in the Park for the Huntington Beach Playhouse, and few local theatres while on hiatus. She has toured with theatre, "The Wizard of OZ," "True Colors," and "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." Always searching for more perspective, she obtained her Associates Degree in Film and Video Production, and attended the Professional Actors' Conservatory two year Program. Her SAG Card came on the 90's show, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
