Sunflower Duran

Sunflower knew she wanted to become an actress before she was school aged. Her first memory from childhood is of telling her father that she wanted to grow up to be a protagonist. "Yo quiero ser protagonista!" She remembers declaring her calling in Spanish, the language of her Dominican household.Born in Washington Heights, and raised in The Bronx, this New York City native comes from a hard-working Catholic family. Her parents, Freddy, a NYC cab driver, and Tomasa, a home attendant, have always supported their oldest daughter in her artistic pursuits.Sunflower obtained a TV Commercial Acting degree at the age of 13, and graduated from modeling school with a degree in Major Modeling the same year. She was highly involved in modeling throughout high school. While in college, she mothered her three children ages 10, 8 and 1 and graduated from New York University.Today she spends her time with her three beautiful kids in the suburbs of northern New Jersey and travels often to New York and California for auditions and film shoots. She is currently pursuing her acting career with the utmost passion and devotion. Show less «
