Chen was born in Holon (a suburb of Tel-Aviv), Israel. After she got over her stage fright (which led her to hide under the table on her birthdays every year), she joined the school choir at the age of 7, and has been singing cheerfully ever since.She spent her high school years majoring in cinema and film studies and got to learn the history of the art and of cinema. She interned in script writing, producing and editing.Then, in an attempt to be a very serious girl, Chen served in the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) for two and a half years. Upon completing her service, she took classes in acting, musical theater around Tel Aviv.She joined The Israeli Musical Theater Company (the IMTC), where she assisted with writing, producing and translating shows, in addition to performing.In summer 2011 she graduate the integrated program of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) where she was a musical theatre major. She is now out and about, wreaking havoc in NYC - auditioning, writing, shooting and producing.
