Morris Eckhouse has written and spoken about sports and history for over 40 years. He brings sports history to life, connecting it to popular culture, through books, audio/video productions, public speaking, and teaching.During his college years, Morris interned with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1979 and was the team's statistician in 1980. He served as the Executive Director of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) from 1990 to 2000. During his time there, he developed The Seymour Medal Conference, a new annual event to celebrate baseball literature. He was a guest curator for exhibits during the 1997 MLB All-Star Game Fan Fest, and edited 2019's Six Midsummers, a collection of articles about Cleveland's MLB All-Star Game history.He has written seven books including the most recent in 2010: Where Cleveland Played: Sports Shrines from League Park to the Coliseum. His latest endeavor is Where Have You Gone?, a podcast about people and places that are gone but not forgotten, forgotten but not gone, and those working so you can still enjoy their stories today.
